Well a few of you that know me well have been aware that I have been struggling with nerve pain due to compression of my spinal cord and nerve roots in my neck. I had been saving up to go to Germany to have prosthetic disc replacement at c5,6 and c6,7. It was going to be some time until I had save enough money to make this happen but fortunately I have been accepted to a clinical trial in the USA that uses the same device as I would have received in Germany. The trial is only going to replace the worst of the two discs that are damaged but at least it is a start. Hopefully this will restore the function in my right arm and diminish the pain enough that I can wait for the other replacement. I am going under the knife tomorrow morning. This is an outpatient surgery but I will be semi-off work for the next 1-2 weeks. I will be able to answer calls and manage my company but I will not be in the shop much.
