Well after 30 years, my dad has finally retired from the United States Air Force! As of today, he has been released from his duties. Though he may be done, his sacrifice and determination will always be remembered and appreciated! This is a shadow box that was put together for him of all of the great things he has done to serve our country! The United States flag that was presented to him today is also in there! His ceremony was filled with so many smiles and tears of joy! His speech was remarkable! And he received several awards including letters from President Obama and former President Bush! We as the family were also presented with awards for our dedication to our country by allowing my dad to be a part of the U.S Air Force even though it meant saying good bye many times! Seeing my dad wear his uniform for the last time could never make me more proud! Each stripe he has was earned with great courage! I am so proud of my dad! I was born into his service to the Air Force and I am so blessed to have watched him stand proudly in the end! His service brought tears and joy, but it was more than worth it to see such a brave man stand up as a retired Chief Master Sargent! I love you dad and I could never be more proud! Thank you for everything! ☺️❤️🎈
