Well after years of battle my dear sweet friend Joey has passed away. Had my purse on my shoulder, out the door to go see her and my phone rang.....it was her daughter telling me that she had passed last night. Such mixed emotion part of me is relieved that she is out of pain and the suffering is done, but then part of me does not want her to be gone. She was such an amazing person and I will not be able to look across the street without remembering her standing in the doorway waving and smiling. Cancer sucks.
