Well, all it took was to look for anyone doing clinical human - TopicsExpress

Well, all it took was to look for anyone doing clinical human trials on ebola in the last year. Keep in mind, the Zaire version is highly lethal. Ebola outbreaks for the last 40 years since it was first tracked occurred in 1976. The WHO has been tracking it and found the Zaire version to be predominantly in the Congo and Uganda. Now, out of the blue, it pops up in Liberia, which is miles away from the Congo and no cases are currently reported in the Congo. Anyone who has watched the flu virus travel knows it travels in one location and spreads through multiple local regions. In this case, we have an odd aberration, as the extreme region of Sierra Leone. This is not even close to the Congo. The fact that Sierra Leone is one of the poorest regions of Africa makes me wonder how people in this region managed to get a disease that has only been found in the central region of Africa for the past 40 years? Then I read this. I am curious to know exactly where these human trials were started back in January, 2014. Hmmmmm...... tekmira/pipeline/tkm-ebola.php
