Well, another Bay View Week of Handbells is in the can, and yet it was not just another year. I went out on a limb and chose some very challenging music. And the ringers stepped up to that challenge and put forth masterful efforts this week - and most notably the past several months on their own - and did themselves proud last night. The near-capacity audience came eager to hear an entertaining performance, and were not disappointed. Thank you, ringers, thank you, audience, thank you, composers and arrangers, thank you, Luanne Barnes, thank you, Susan Post Cobb, thank you, Rose and Jill and Fred and Joseph D. Daniel and flutists and piccolo players, thank you, Paul Kingsbury, Sheena Hunter, and everyone who helped make this Week a success. And finally, thank you, Pamela Bayes for bringing me and Bay View together. Watch for the opening of the 2014 registration on January 1, and get yours in fast. We filled up in 48 hours this year!
