Well, as Doug indicated, we had a good training ride this past Saturday. While both of us have been training on our own, it was great to be able to ride together for a change. It was also a good reminder of the importance of partnership. After a hard pull at the front, its nice to tuck in behind your riding partner and get a break in the draft for a few miles. In fact, the following rider uses nearly 30% less energy than the lead rider. This is a great analogy for what often needs to happen in the work of Bible translation. Partnerships are essential! Whether those partnerships are focused on prayer, finances, support roles, or just simple encouragement, they all ease the load and provide translation teams the opportunity to make maximum progress. Pray that the Lord will raise up even more partnerships to benefit the work of translation among the Akebu and the many other language groups that need Gods Word. For those of you who like this sort of thing, we thought wed include some video highlights of a portion of our training ride this past Saturday. Enjoy!
