Well be at the 3rd annual Bark! Bark! Bark for Our Park! at Norristown Farm Park this Saturday from 12p to 4p. Come see us & see below for all of the incredible events they have planned for the entire family: Don’t be “nothin’ but a hound dog.” Instead, bring your dog (hound or otherwise) to the 3rd annual Bark! Bark! Bark for Our Park! to celebrate people, parks, and puppies in support of the 690-acre Norristown Farm Park. Elvis tribute artist Dean Garofolo will be back to entertain and emcee the event as will Johnny Angel, the five-pound Papillon who helped save this park from development. Johnny Angel and his human co-author will be on hand (and paw) to sell and sign copies of their international, award-winning, children’s picture book “Bark! Bark! Bark for My Park!” a true story of civic engagement. They have just released a second Johnny Angel adventure, “Bow Wow Wow, Green Beans Now?” Many of the favorite activities from years past will be back as well. The dog walk and Papillon Parade will let pets and owners get to know each other. In addition, there will be kids’ crafts, a bluebird hike, and the popular scavenger hunt, based on the (original) book, will encourage families to explore the beautiful field, farm, forest, and stream environments of the Norristown Farm Park. A variety of vendors and exhibitors will be present to sell products, provide einformation, demonstrations, and services to make this a memorable day of fun, food, and festivities. Norristown Farm Park is owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources / Bureau of State Parks and is managed by Montgomery County Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites, a division of the Department of Assets and Infrastructure. This event is co-hosted by Montgomery County Parks, Trails, and Historic Sites and the Farm Park Preservation Association, a 501(c) (3) organization. Date: Saturday May 31, 2014 Time: 12 noon to 4:00 pm Location: Norristown Farm Park pavilions (Enter from Germantown Pike at North Wales Road / Barley Sheaf Drive in East Norriton, PA 19403) Price: $10.00 per car (includes dog walk, kids’ crafts, bluebird hike, and demonstrations.
