Well bum fudge, my baby boy didnt make the top 10, he went out @137 but just a simple bad stroke of luck, he cleared it a by a foot but when he came down his foot caught the bar... I feel so sad for him because Im sure he was scared out of his mind... But hes got to realize he had to jump in the older age group and these boys are tuff! This was Brocks 1st year to compete! He started late in 7th grade and maybe jumped 3 times for the school, then he jumped this track season for the school and then set a goal to compete for a chance to go to the Jr Olympics... He ended up 3rd in the state they take only the top 5 in each state to compete in the Jr Olympics Nationals! Hes upset with himself because he wanted to win it. Like I told him be honored to be there your 14yrs old, you jumped with 15/16 year olds and ended up 3rd in Oklahoma. Wow!!! Its just the way it goes, everybody wants to win and you will dominate it next year!! He has 1 more National Championship to jump for next weekend (AAU)!! It makes me so proud because he set his goal and did it!!! His time will come and one of these years we will see him competing at the Olympics!
