Well called lowerance and found that the sonars and that they sell are only guaranteed 1 year. And mine was 15 months old. HMMM Thats why i paid the extra money and bought lowerance instead of their eagle brand. My Eagle quit after about 2 years and they wouldnt repair it. Today i learned they do NO repair. If its under warranty and broke they replace with a new unit. So this guy is trying to blow smoke. Sorry but i got angry. When I finally hung up he isnt going to replace my Elite 5 DSI with another. Instead for an added 200.00 Im getting a new 7 HDI technology. The latest and greatest and a larger unit. So as it might not be nice to argue, the squeaky wheel this gets the grease. Very Happy right now. As thats close to a thousand dollar unit .
