Well, crud. Despite Line 6 saying it was okay, my amps transformers were not at all happy about running only two tubes. One would heat up and glow, and Id get a buzz, then volume would drop. So, I threw the two outer tubes back in and re-biased all four. This time, I left the Hot Plate out and lowered the volume on all (eight) of my patches, and adjusted the master volume accordingly. It sounds better than with the Hot Plate, but Ill need to fine tune everything. So, it appears that I am stuck with a 100-watt all tube head. hehe
