Well...day 5 in the hospital..UGH! I had the stent removed last night and for the first time since Monday I am pain free, no heartburn, acid rushes, bile rushes, wicked pain in the chest,no nausea and not being able to sleep unless medicated, which by the way, is no where even close to how much I needed it!!!! My doctors said there is no reason i should have to suffer at all and what happened all week???? I SUFFERED CONSTANTLY! I got enough morphine to subside my pain for an hour and I was on a 6 hour schedule!! hmmm Do that Math!! I got anti nausea medicine that made me sleepy where I could get 90 minutes of decent rest, but the IV machine would go off, or a nurse would come in to get vitals, or something or somebody would wake me for some STUPID reason, like.....knock, knock....Mr. Richard....are you awake?? I AM NOW FOR CRYING OUT LOUD....I just wanted to check on you to see if you needed anything ME: Perfect...what I needed you just took away from me....REST!!! I was on an order for no food or beverage for 48 hours....what could I possibly need besides more morphine and more rest....both of which i couldnt get anyway! Dont get me wrong....my nurses were wonderful, they were just following orders from paperwork. So, my rant is done. I hope I go home today because I feel back to my old self again. Of course I am in a hospital though and things move at a snails pace. I had doctors in my room between 6 and 7am everyday....today, when I could go home....NOBODY! Hmmm...when is the doctor in charge of discharging me going to come in today?? To say the least, I wont be that upset if I dont have to come back again for a longgggggg time!
