Well done to all the cyclists who took part in the Eamonn Mac - TopicsExpress

Well done to all the cyclists who took part in the Eamonn Mac Memorial Cycle 2013 on Saturday 21st September 2013. We had 25 Cyclists who begin their marathon 200km cycle starting from Kilworth @ 7.30a.m., with their route taking them through Glanworth, Mallow, Donoughmore, Coachford, Crookstown, Dunmanway, Ballineen, Bandon, Innishannon and The Viaduct. Over 180 Amateur cyclists left Dunmanway at 10.30 a.m. to begin their own marathon, 100km cycle, after a delicious breakfast was had by all. The journey took them through Ballineen, Bandon, and onto Innishannon with a stop at the Viaduct Inn, where everyone was looked after with some fantastic food provided. Both teams of cyclists refueled, regrouped and cycled together through Cork City, Glanmire, Watergrasshill, Rathcormac, Fermoy and to the finish line at Kilworth. That you to everyone who supported the bucket collection taken up on route through the major villages, towns & Cork City with a huge thank you to the gallant volunteers, who helped to collect much needed funds for Breakthrough Cancer Research supporting the Cork Cancer Research Centre. Also, huge Thank you to all the Gardai, Civil Defence & volunteers involved who gave their support voluntarily to ensure the safety of all the cyclists, including puncture repairs, photographs and more food and refreshments at Kilworth. We appreciate all the help offered and hopefully we will see you all in 2014.
