Well, first time fishing since my amputation. I cannot lie - TopicsExpress

Well, first time fishing since my amputation. I cannot lie therefore I will admit I was very nervous and frankly pretty scared. Thanks to Isaac James Eisch who helped me get the boat read and help me launch and to the love of my life Maria Torres who tirelessly supports me, makes sure I have everything I need, and takes care of the kids. And of course why not introduce my amputated leg to the Club Team Championship for New York BASS Chapter Federation for a two day tournament out of Ogdesnburg, NY. First day we had 4 foot waves and I needed to drive 20 miles by boat to get to my spots only to find that every waypoint I had found in practice was unfishable due to winds and waves. Nuts! Weighed in a whopping 2 fish for 7.2lbs. Next day was sunny and I was plagued with fish unbuttoning at the boat. Nicer day but weighed in 4 fish for 11.16lbs. Terrible showing, my leg is starting to ache but it held up pretty good, was painful at times but I got through it. Thank god for my family, the support of my team mates, and my Spark. On to fishing again tomorrow. Carry on.
