Well folks its been an interesting week which culminated in me becoming the sole owner of 8 Peate Close Godmanchester. Ive had my fill of solicitors for a little while. The transaction was ably assisted by a raid on personal savings supplemented by an advance from those good people at the Nationwide so imagine my surprise when I received a text message from them in which they congratulated me on moving into your new home. And then whats more theyve delivered their welcome pack of goodies to help me over the first few days. Industrial quantites of household cleaning miscellanea, kitchen roll, 2 kitchen sponges, some tea bags, UHT milk, 2 ginger biscuits, 2 bottles of fragrant hand soap and copies of Good Housekeeping and Nexts latest glossy brochure. So if youre passing, pop in for a restorative cuppa and some household chores.
