Well, friends, its been quite a birthday! So many good wishes! Thanks, Hvala, Grazie, Falemderit and Danke to all of you. But its also been a busy, busy day. This morning I washed and stemmed about 16 pounds of grapes. Then a quick change of clothes and I was off to a birthday lunch with mt grandsons. Love those boys! Back home and into my grungy clothes to cook and strain the grapes before another quick change and off to join a crowd of fellow Dems in greeting Senator Mark Warner during his tour of Rappahannock River Oyster Companys oyster farming operation. I saw lots of folks I havent seen in a while (maybe since the last campaign) and just about got my fill of delicious raw oysters. A lot of folks there didnt seem to care for them but that was just more for me. I walked across the parking lot to Merrior with my friend Hallie Holmes for a delicious dinner (pan seared scallops and that lovely draft Prosecco they have on tap there. Thanks, Hallie! Then back home and back to the grungies,Flowers from John and Elena, a visit from Tom and Joseph, and now I have a big pot of grape jam bubbling away on the stove as I write this.
