Well guys, I decided to stick with Photosynthesis and Biophysical Chemistry as my first two graduate chemistry classes. I think a stronger biochemistry knowledge will be greatly useful since crystallography is often used in biochemical studies such as integral membrane proteins. However, I do hope to take more physical chemistry oriented classes in the following semesters like Structural Biology (crystallography/NMR techniques), Biophysics, Quantum Chemistry, Fundamentals of NMR, Statistical Mechanics, Electron Microscopy, and Quantum Mechanics. I am starting my first lab rotation with Dr. Fromme tomorrow! :)
