Well here goes...Plastic Surgeon says he will be able to open top of my skull and peel forward and back enough for Neurosurgeon yo get in and see if he can resect any of the tumor. They will biopsy for malignancies at that time. The tumor has more than doubled in size almost completely covering the left side of my brain. They will put me under attach my head to a halo inside a box ( like the spoof ecpedia commercial where the doc pokes the patients brrain an has him book his vaca. I did point out that should he decide to do that to me he better be booking an extra ticket and the destination better be tropical.lol) open mr up then wake me up so they can see the effects of what happens when they touch to tell what can be safely removed. The worst part is they say that I will lose the right side mobility for a time after the surgery. Yep all the progress I have made will be lost.BUT...I got it almost back once and I feel like if I work hard I can do it again. If the new growth is cancer they will begin a radiation chemo combination right away. Unfortunately I am NOT a candidate for Gamma Knife Radiation as it is not precise enough for the webbing and tiny areas so that leaves High Dose Strereotactic ( same as I went through before). I want to say to my children Cheyne Jennifer Ali Julie &Shawn and my niece Rachel Thanks for all your love and support and for handling things in such a thoughtful, helpful, mature beyond your years way. We are going to beat this.
