Well it appears that there will be no question on our next electorate ballot on the “voting at large issue” discussed here earlier this week. And while I am still on the fence with this issue, sadly Council also voted against a motion to consider a ballot question concerning the realigning of the wards so as to give more equal representation to all wards as there is a serious disparity between the 3. I got the impression from the recorded vote that those that voted against the idea did not understand the motion as was clearly evident from Councillors Brigitte Lesage-Tye and Velma Kelsey voting “no” to a motion that could have seen their ward (2) increase in electorate.
