Well it happened. We got ripped off today. We took the funicular over to this castle in the Mont Juic area. We were walking around taking photos when Steph asked me if I wanted to rest my surgery-repaired knee which is another post, and I gladly agreed. A bird blessed (aka pooped) on her head. A woman gave us some wipes and she and her husband helped me clean up Steph. Afterwards, Stephanie noticed that our new day pack, which we had secured with a lock had been sliced open. My little purse was missing. But the joke is on the thieves. I took all the money out of it last night when we got home. I had decided to remove my credit card at the very last minute before leaving the apartment today. I also had taken out my prescription sunglasses on the ride up. Steph had her video camera out for the ride up so it was in her hand. So all they got besides my purse were my cough drops, hand sanitizer, hand lotion. What a blessing! And we still stayed around and took some amazing pictures. No one is going to STEAL our joy! So after enduring a smelly metro ride home, we have showered, washed our hair and are now enjoying a vintage cava.
