Hi Facebook friends, Copied below is some info on guitar setups... GUITAR SETUP BY GEOFF GUTHRIE Get a guitar tune-up that will make your guitar play the best it is going to play. As close to high end boutique as it can be. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ STRING HEIGHT (ACTION) - this is set to very precise measurements with correct radius! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ INTONATION - strobe tuned for the ultimate in accuracy, must have new strings ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- NECK ADJUSTMENT - very precise adjustment is a key factor! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- PICKUP BALANCING - minute changes can make a big difference, I know the sweet spot! balanced pickup changes, optimum level of magnet pull on single coils ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ELECTRONICS CHECK - make sure everything is as noise free as possible and smooth, correctly cleaned if needed, connections soldered if needed ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- FRETBOARD CONDITIONING - a clean not too dry fretboard and clean slick frets play better, I can do surprising things to a dirty old guitar with tarnished dull frets ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- GENERAL CLEANING OF THE GUITAR BODY - I use the silicon free polish, rubbing compound if needed ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- MODS - electronics upgrades...volume control cleanup, 50’s wiring ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- OTHER BASIC NEEDS...loose screws, loose keys(if adjustable), strap pin problems, etc... My new policy is that a proper setup will have a minimum charge of $45.00. I have gotten burned too many times for too little money and too much work! Thanks!
