Well it has been a very interesting last 36 hours. The rest of our Cruise has been cancelled. We were drifting at sea in the Meditterean with emergency power which is not my idea of a relaxing time. All started when we were leaving Mykonos at 7pm on the 21 September and our winch burned out as it was taking up the anchor. Many hours later they had hooked up another winch motor and we were on our way until the next day when at lunch we lost power. We were drifting for many hours until they got a couple of generators working and we are now limping towards Naples. Princess cruises is fully refunding our money plus 25% off our next cruise. They are putting us in Naples till they get us on a flight to Barcelona and paying for our accommodation in Barcelona until we will be flying out back to London. Whilst the last part of this cruise has been a disappointment we still have been lucky enough to enjoy 9 nights of our 12 night cruise. So there is always a silver lining. We will just have to come back to see the ports we missed.
