Well it has officially arrived. Thanksgiving and Christmas have come and gone. A new year has come in. And if youre reading this, please consider yourself blessed. I say that because someone somewhere did not make it to see the rest of this year or see the new year come in. Every year, we go through the motions and routine of life. We bring in the new year, celebrate Valentines Day with our mate, we get our new Easter Suits and listen to our children recite their Resurrection Sunday speeches, We get excited for summer vacation and Memorial Day and then we push through so that we can get to Labor Day. Once September arrives we slowly begin our countdown until the year ends, making sure we make plans to celebrate the winter holidays with family and friends. We do all of this every year. Year after year, over and over again, but what if death were to find you today? One thing that is promised to us in life is to die. If death found you today, where would your soul rest? Death has no respecter of person and death takes no holidays. Would your soul find rest in Hell in the lake of fire or would your soul rest in Heaven with your heavenly Father? John 3:16 says that God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. God loved you and still loves you in spite of what youve done, what youre doing and what you will do. Will you accept His love today? All you must do is believe in your heart and confess with your mouth. You may say: Well if God loves us so much, why does He allow all this bad stuff to happen in the world? Well the truth of the matter is that God allows us to operate in a thing called free will. He gives us the choice to choose Him. Some have chosen not to and some have chosen to live their life for Him. Some have chosen to love as Jesus exemplified and some have chosen to not care. So its all a choice. But at the end of the day, there is no peace like knowing when youve lived your life, and passed away, youll spend it in Heaven. If your loved ones were saved, youll meet them again in Heaven too. Make a choice; Make a serious decision today. Take the time to think about where your soul would rest if death found you today. We dont like to think about death, but its appointed to a man to die. You dont know when your time may be. Accept Jesus as your Savior today.
