Well it is official (as of 1:45pm yesterday). We are home owners! The closing went off without a hitch. No "flood" damage...we found out that the evacuation of our neighbor was the result of Milliken officials panicking (better safe than sorry I guess). Anywho...We started painting last night and got the garage door installed...thank you Bert and Phillip Bessey. Pam Bessey brought us some take n bake pizza so I was able to use my double ovens..which are confection ovens so I have to learn to bake all over again ;) We only have one route into Milliken right now and we are hoping they will have Hwy 60 re-opened soon. A big shout out to my Uncle David for allowing Todd and I as well as our two animals (Elphie and Jezebel) to stay at their house for the past two months. Thank you to Holly Biggs for being a wonderful realtor and to our builder for making such a quality home! and of course to my parents Mike Stephenson and Janet Stephenson for babysitting our almost everyday for the past month and for the use of their washer and dryer!
