Well it is officially the Christmas season! About 20 years ago my precious co-workers from Montclair and Princeton surprised me with the beginnings of my collection of Fontanini. For several years they added to my collection and I did too. Ive had to stop buying it because it covers my dining room table. Each character comes with a card that tells their story about what they were doing or what they experienced the night Christ was born. These are not biblical but they are logically what was probably happening. For example the baker tells about having to prepare lots of bread for the expected crowd of people returning to Bethlehem for the census. There is even a card giving the perspective of the birds in the stable the quiet night that was disturbed by a couple of people and then a BABY crying in the night and the angels they could see. Every character has a story, many will make you cry as you discover the perspective of these players in Gods story of His love. I love getting them out each year.
