Well its been a ruff week. When you find out your soul mate of 29 yrs has cancer, its kind of like getting punched in the gut. You see 29 yrs ago today I married my bride, my soul mate and my best friend. We have experienced the, for better or for worst, the for richer or for poorer and the in sickness and in health. I must admit that this last one is the hardest. But you see 29 yrs ago today we didnt just come together with each other but we came together in Christ. We not only gave our lives over to Him but we also gave Him our marriage. We gave Him all of ourselves. In essence we gave Him the right to decide what is right and best for us, no matter if we understand it or not. No I dont understand why, yes I am afraid a little and yes I am somewhat angry. Being a Christian and even a minister does not exempt you from troubles. It also doesnt mean I have all the answers. What it does mean is that we have entrusted our lives to God and His infinite wisdom. We have decided that He in His sovereignty has the right to do with us as He wills. Not because He is some over demanding task master but because He is our Father who loves us and cares for us and desires the best for us. And even if we do not understand, even if we cannot comprehend His will in these things, we never the less know beyond a shadow of doubt that, All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. And it is in this truth that we stand. Happy Anniversary My Love
