Well.....its official. WERE ENGAGED!! Clint and I have been dating for about nine weeks now and had been talking marriage for about two. I didnt expect him to propose so soon, but man am I glad he did. This is how it went: A few weeks ago Clint had carved our names into a tree but would never show me where it was. On Saturday when I went up to see him in the mountains he casually said cmere I wanna show you something. In my head I was thinking Yay I finally get to see the tree! but boy did he have more in store. We were walking through the trees when all of the sudden I see a huge note pinned to one of the aspens by an arrow, very Robin Hood style. (For those of you who dont know my fiance, hes a big hunter and a Disney lover like me) I tried to get the arrow unpinned but it was too hard so I made him do it. The note was a beautifully written Declaration of Love if you will. I read it out loud and got very emotional. When I was through I turned around and there he was with the biggest smile on his face. -Athena, will you marry me?- I threw my arms around his neck and laughed out Yes of course! and then kissed him senseless. :) We are thinking possibly January 9th in the Monticello Temple. It seems crazy that it is happening so quickly, but I have never felt so sure of anything in my life. Right before I came home from my mission, I received very strong promptings that I would get married soon after I got home. I ignored it and fought it because that wasnt part of MY plan. But now that I look at the path Im on and how God definitely led me to it, I have never been more excited and sure of anything. I really do love Clint. And he loves me. And he does not have a facebook page so I apologize to all my darling friends who will wish to stalk him hahaha :) Anyway, enjoy the pictures! (p.s. Tena (like Tina) is his nickname for me)
