Well ive got another review fer yee! Seems a bit trivial, i dont know the model number or brand, yet, but i recently re-enstated cable service at my place and got a new type of HD box, the little bit older ones are those which, doubtless, youve either encountered or had, with the vetrically rounded front display panel, this one is the same material, im certain, a matt black plastic, is slightly slimmer, width and depth, not by much, and has a flat front display panel, one of the single weirdest ways to know wether your sporting the right one, is a VERTICAL HDMI port, locatet next to the coaxial video output on the back, but movin on, i found a few couple different features of note on this box that set it apart from previous models, firstly, a rather shnazzy looking blue power button, somewhat similar to, and not to be mistaken for the touch sensative version on the DVR model of late, this one is a feather touch push botton. Sencondly, i found a bit more empowering video setup menu than previous models offered, allowing you to select fps rate in 1080 p, limited to 24 and 30 hz only, most unfortunately, but a HUGE bonus was a 5 tier sharpness adjustment thatwas quite a refreshing and welcome change to this newer model, its not a DVR, thus, if you use and or enjoy that feature then its likely you wont be getting this box, so such things wont bug you too terrible much, lol. And lastly, though a somewhat mineute point, its switching speed has in fact improved over the rounded face version pretty nicely, as ive observed, so another bonus. Footnote, i have comcast for my cable service, i have found previously lousy looking programs, no doubt low budget equipment specials, such as antiques roadshow, one of my personal favs, to move better, and with an incredibly distinct and more than noticable difference in sharpness and depth, and overall picture quality... and yes, these observations were made whilst my cornea was in direct contact with my LED/LCD tvs screen protector cause im pretty faaareakin.. well you guessed it folks.. BLIND! Ha ha ha ha
