Well, just had my second collapsible hose explode. My sister was telling me about the problem she had heard about from her friends, but I said hummm they must be doing something wrong, mine are fine, and I use them all the time. EAT MY WORDS, it seems they are perfect as long as you are using them, but if you lay them down while water is on, they cannot hold the pressure. I was washing out my big trash cans, and when I put the hose down with the nozzle and turned to move the trash can upside down, things got a bit dicey. I first thought I was shot, then when I was drenched with water and not blood decided it was my malfunctioning wonderful hose. The other one exploded when I had the nozzle which you can turn on and off at the handle of the nozzle turned off so I could move some plants around on the deck, and kaboom, it exploded, BUT I thought it was operator error, now I know it is the hose. Just keep the water spraying - and turn off toot sweet before letting go of the hose. Words to live by.
