Well, just returned from another failed search for Hannah Rosie. Got a call from a very sweet woman in Wheelersburg who found a beautiful dog with an injured leg in her backyard that looked remarkably like Hannah. She tried to coax her into the house but the dog wouldnt come. She didnt want her out in this weather with an obvious injury so she contacted me. At first glance, this dog has many of the same markings as Hannah, but, once again, a sweet beagle has been misidentified as a Treeing Walker coonhound. But, the fact is, she needs to be out of this cold and somewhere safe, so, of course, I brought her home. Shes currently sleeping peacefully in a crate in the spare bedroom - obviously separated from my furbabies - until I can find a more permanent foster/rescue for her. Havent been able to determine what the problem with her leg is yet. Will see about vetting tomorrow. She does seem to be good with other dogs and cats so thats a plus. Rescue friends, please ask around for rescues/fosters who might be able to help. Thanks!
