Well-known Italian politician and ex-mayor of Rome Walter Veltroni recently made a film about his mentor, Enrico Berlinguer entitled Quando Cera Berlinguer. Yesterday evening I attended a talk he gave about this fascinating man whom I remember being impressed by the leader of the Communist Party at a rally he held in the main square of Bologna back in 1978. Didnt understand a word then but the mans conviction and charisma made an impression,
