Well my afternoon is a little quieter than it has been in some time...I watched local news in my fave chair and I will probably watch some Fox News and some football tonight. Both dogs, Duff and Howard, and our cat Joe Frazier are all laying close to my feet and I am thinking about fixing some dinner with fresh vegetables that we picked up in Asheville and in Spartanburg with some Publix chicken thrown in. All good stuff and all things that I am thankful for...But not nearly as much fun or as wonderful as the time that I spent in Nashville with Jessica DeWeerth, Jacob DeWeerth, and our grandsons Hank and Lowell. We so enjoyed our time with them and they were so kind to accommodate in their nice home. I hope that we didnt destroy their schedules too badly! It was so very hard to leave them in fact I started missing them the moment we pulled out of the driveway. As is the case in most things that I do in my life, we had a number of adventures that included car problems and we had an opportunity to see some beautiful mountains, to visit the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Johnny Cash Museum, Ernest Tubbs Record Shop, and the Ryman, the wonderful farmers market in downtown Nashville,, and saw some parks where Jessica takes the boys. On the way back, we spent the night with Kristin White and had a little time with her, Dan, and our grandson Brayden. It was the first time in at least 10 years that I had been away from home for 7 days since after about 3 days I miss the smell of pluff mudd and my home but it was time well spent. If they will have us again, we will probably plan another visit at some time but hope that we can skip the car stuff! Oh man I am a lucky little kid!
