Well, my county has water shortage issues, so submitted to a person at the Chamber of Commerce, my idea for it. It has three aspects. Pumping water over a hill into a valley, from Keno to Aspen Lake. Putting a dam on aspen lake to increase the amount it can hold; up to 1.5 million acre feet (150 earth dam), and running aqueducts from the back side of Aspen Butte from Clover Creek around the mountain and into Aspen Lake. We get plenty of water in the winter, but need it in the summer. There is tons of extra water in winter that just needs to be held until Summer. So that was my big project last week to give an idea to my community. Note: Aspen Lake does not have a river running into it, and so it would not be blocking a natural flow of a river. Plus, it would be an awesome clear lake. And could probably hold almost enough for seven years of water. Plus right at elevation 4460 (the new water level) the way the land is set up, the east slope would make a great vacation resort area. :) The tech report was simplified to only be about 8 pages. Just to give the general premises. Plus a couple pages of water data flow showing the amount of water running out Keno Dam from 1903 till present (minus 1915-29). To show how much water is lost during the winter that could be saved till summer, especially till when the salmon and farmers need it most. The aqueducts could also be used on the back side of Crater Lake to divert extra water into the top of Klamath Lake. The Aqueducts would be like the Hawaiian aqueducts that transfer water from the wet side to the dry side, but still allow proper water to flow down the river. So that was my contribution to my community in practical matters. For God said, Klamath is My oasis in the desert. ~Mystic James
