Well my travels in Italy ended with a flourish as I spent a day - TopicsExpress

Well my travels in Italy ended with a flourish as I spent a day exploring Mantua, another beautiful city about two hours from Milan along with Sabbioneta - a 16th century planned town. Both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the communities have a lot to share with visitors, from impressive palaces to quiet streets whose only occupants were a few cats and cafes. Using Milan as my base once again, I have discovered even more great places easily reached by train and it’s been a real eye opening experience for me. Both Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna have so much to offer from great food to important historical sites. More than a week is certainly needed here, but it’s a great start. Thanks for following along and now it’s time for me to head home and start writing about these wonderful experiences.
