Well, my wife and I finally made it up to the California central - TopicsExpress

Well, my wife and I finally made it up to the California central coast around the Santa Cruz, Carmel, Monterey, and Big Sur area. We spent the first 3 days in Santa Cruz exploring and photographing this great area of coastline. We then stayed in Big Sur for our 25th wedding anniversary. I am definitely one lucky guy to have married my wonderful wife 25 years ago. The first image is of the Natural Bridge at Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz. The weather was great. I used a slow shutter speed in order to capture the rush of the water rolling in. The next image is of McWay Falls in Big Sur. It was a little bit of a hike, but what an excellent scenic view. All of the colors are exactly how it was when the image was captured. Amazing blue water. You can see the waterfall across the cove coming out of the treelike. The next image is of Keyhole Rock at Julia Pfeiffer Beach. A little bit later in the year when the sun sets, the rays of light illuminate the mist coming through the keyhole and produce an amazing orange effect. The next image is of the Natural Bridge at sunset in Santa Cruz. This is taken looking back towards the beach area where my previous image was taken. The next image is of the iconic Pebble Beach Lone Cypress Tree. This was on the 17 mile drive that takes you through Poppy Hill, Spyglass, and Pebble Beach Golf Courses. The next image is the view outside of our cottage where we stayed in Big Sur. The ocean was 1200 feet below us and this morning there was a marine layer on the ocean that made it seem like we were above the clouds. The final image is that of an elephant seal we saw on the way home as we passed through San Simeon California. What a great week it was. brentbremer #santacruz #bigsur #mcwayfalls #naturalbridges
