Well nite before last was wild. Miss june had been lethargic all day. Then Jerry and I had had to lift her and our old backs have had it. Anyway ,I was giving her a breathing treatment and she said my tongue is swelling and boy it was . Well Hospice was closed so had to call hospital and talk to a hospice nurse who was attending a death and said ,I cant come so just give her benedryl. I sent Jerry for that and then I caved and called ambulance. Six Big Men showed up and asked questions and so forth and I said take her. could not get her son on the phone and Jerry had to sleep for work in 4 hours so I just kept calling and praying and remade her bed and cleaned her room and waited. Then Hospice nurse said come get her so I woke Jerry, and off we went where they had given her meds and gotten it down some . She had infection in lungs and her nurse had been sick all week. The aide and I had thought she needed antibiotic for a week or so! We start to bring her home and the Hospice nurse said I will follow u and help get her in the room and I said well good cause we have hurt our backs so she says to hospital nurse call the fire department and have them meet us there and they had to put her in the bed, brother! ! Then her son called the next morning and came and the RN came . Before that I had to call the hospice nurse again because that morning Miss june had torn her tubing up for oxygen. Hospice again not open but she got tubing and extra to me this time. Miss June is fine now and on steroids and antibiotics and is doing her nails as I write! Praise God she is fine but there were comical and crazy moments during that whole day and night!! A DAY IN MY LIFE :)
