Well our day started out good blue sky sun shining flask of tea and bun in the bag and off to the bird sanctuary.thousands of swans and canadian geese had our tea and bun.Dark clouds approaching heads across country for malin head starts to raintakes short cut over scalp mountain !!BIG mistake!!!Cloudburst As we climbed the mountain rivers came to meet us from all directions roads disappear Over the top and now wer motoring with the flow {rudder would be useful} roads washed away decided malins a river too far. took refuge in lodge hotel ballyliffen had a nice gammon stake and home to a nice sunset. !!Interesting day!! Note from Mum Di: Strange men in usually deserted places and gates closing off roads and car blocking our way!!
