Well our first moonrise was over Pakistan,on a hard days night that had started in Leipzig the morning before ,before ending up in Dubai, and now airborne once again with a bonnie crew, we were angling for the war planet , in a sky lit orange by that waning but still impressive moon. We left Pakistan and its frontiers behind us as we descended into a Hindu Kush guarded and shrouded by some adolescent storms that were aspiring to greater heights, and distracted us with their silent flash/ flashings, while we were vectored to and fro by a military controller who sounded like Marcellus Wallace of Pulp Fiction fame, and it was a busy night in the Kush , but by and by we found our way clear and into the valley where our own people were quite happy to see us and the food we carried , and then after a decent interval we were aloft again and headed for the high skies China bound, finding peace amid the stars, and planets, and giving silent thanks for another mission safely added to the ledger, and so the sun rose over Burma , and we descended into Hong Kong, racing our shadow over salty waters and finding the runway , and our rightful place on the cargo ramp, whereupon my crew dispersed to other adventures, and I retired to the rear cabin , while another crew took over up front, and soon we were screaming, thundering , up and away , twisting, and turning round those rocks guarding the city before setting course for Korea and a fuel stop, before one final launch over the North Pacific and while I drifted off to sweet dreams in the rest cabin beheld my second moonrise , Anchorage bound.
