Well said, Mr. Gutfeld. For those of you who havent read it, Bioethicist Ezekial Emanuel wrote an article in The Atlantic about how he hopes he dies at 75 so he wont be a burden. I suppose there was something wrong with the way I was brought up. We were taught to respect our elders and to learn from them. I can remember spending a long afternoon in the early 70s listening to an old WWI vet tell me what it was like to travel to Europe with General Pershing. He talked about Paris, and losing friends in the trenches. Years later, I saw my great grandmother, well past her 90th birthday, playing with her infant great grandchild. Her eyes were bright and clear, delighting in his love of catching a rubber ball rolled to him on the floor. I suppose to many people, learning about personal history is a burden. Its so much better to learn history as pre-digested pap with the revisionist stamp of approval. People who know me are well aware of my stand on bioethicists like Mr. Emanuel. I would much rather live in a world with more people over 75 and fewer bioethicists. Good luck, Mr. Emanuel - heres hoping you shuffle off that mortal coil even sooner than 75. Your reduction of human worth to cold numbers on a spreadsheet is a burden the world can live without.
