Well, shit. Left work early to have plenty of time to get to my nail appointment with the ever-wonderful Connie White. There I was, tooling along in the left lane of I-79 north, when the guy in front of me (in a pickup truck) ran over something. It looked to me like an old-style car bumper. The PA State Trooper who arrived called it a "big metal thing." Great. I had a flat tire, and body damage to my poor pretty little car. The trooper kindly called a tow truck, and my pretty car is now at Cochran of Robinson, waiting to be repaired. Thank goodness for insurance. It coulda been worse. I coulda hit somebody, or somebody coulda hit me. Someone coulda been hurt. None of this came to pass - just some bullshit that pissed me off, from running over some stupid shit in the road. Da husband came to collect me at Cochran, then took me to dinner at the Sharp Edge. A Kasteel rouge or two and a mighty fine burger does help! And I was able to reschedule my date with Connie for tomorrow.
