Well signed up for Health Insurance through Covered CA and while I - TopicsExpress

Well signed up for Health Insurance through Covered CA and while I was all excited when I originally posted, the reality is less so. As I really looked at the plans and what is comparable to what me and the girls have currently, its not really saving us all that much money...$50 mo difference but really, its not $50 because the plans we had before included dental. Boo. Looked at their dental packages (mind you, its just for kids dental that they offer) and they are WAY too expensive. Going to purchase it separately on our own through Delta Dental...instead of $600/year for just the girls, getting a great plan for all 4 of us for $225 but you have to pre-pay which is fine. We need good dental though because we have braces in our very near future for Miss Alyson (next year!!!!!) but on the sad side, the plan doesnt include our current dentist so well have to find a new one. :( Our prices were not reduced very much for the health insurance because Mike ended up being excluded from our family plan because he is enrolled with the VA-although we have problems there because he was approved but then he went to Mather to get an appointment and they said he has to fill out the huge application again for the local office so he hasnt been able to use it which is crap...ugh....
