Well, since Whirlpool USA decided to not stand behind their product (apparently something VERY common with them after doing any on-line reading at all), and getting totally screwed by Assurant Solutions (who must have some kind of agreement with Whirlpool to continue the stellar customer service treatment), Tom Gunther and I decided to trash our non-working, very $$, 3-year-old washer and buy a new washer from a company that doesnt have a record of crappy products and worse service. So, while this chapter may be over (I can finally wash my clothes after 5 weeks), my need to warn others about Whirlpool and Assurant is NOT. Friends, It would be in your best interest to avoid Whirlpool at all costs. If you have had a good experience with them, I am happy for you, but you are in the minority. Before you buy your next appliance, make sure you do some reading on how they treat their customers. I am a pretty understanding person and all I ask for is answers/explanation, and a little respect. I would have been fine with a little courtesy and a little communication. Having to spend hours on the phone just to be treated rudely and still not get answers is unacceptable. I have include a few links for anyone interested in researching these companies before they purchase their next appliance. Oh, and Whirlpool, dont respond to this post with a send me info so we can look into it, or any other BS you may try to make yourself look good. You have made it very clear that you intend to do NOTHING. However, I will continue to monitor your page and other pages to make sure potential buyers are aware of how I was treated. consumeraffairs/homeowners/whirlpool_washing_machine.html mythreecents/reviews/whirlpool whirlpool.pissedconsumer consumeraffairs/insurance/assurant.html ripoffreport/reports/directory/assurant-solutions
