Well, thanks everyone for your support for Shalom--Ive had so many messages & emails asking how she did at C Rally & Dreamcrest I will just post. Even though she had to pull in her THIRD mount substitution (her PPG pony whom she hadnt evented in over a year! ) just a couple days before the event--bless Janette Leask!!--she had an outstanding experience. Standing 1st after Dressage & Stadium--but Sugar was struggling in the heat & humidity, and we could see it. They gamely headed out on cross, Sugar pulled a wicked stop at jump 8 and Shalom didnt stick. Neither hurt with Shalom landing on her feet. Disappointing, but that comes with the territory when riding Sugar--brilliant little mare but makes her riders work for every stride. Shalom didnt get her line quite perfect into the jump & paid for it. Makes the successes all the sweeter :) Personal best in Dressage by almost 15 pp--with VERY positive comments from the judge--and Shalom is eager to get Sugar back into eventing condition and get back out there with Archie and Sugar next season.
