Well that didnt take long. I got a email from a friend who just couldnt believe the sentence given to this guy in the article below. There are dozens of factors that go into making a plea deal with the prosecution. Here is the first 5 that pop to my head: defendants record; cooperation of witnesses; victims input; strength of the Commonwealths case; potential motions to suppress or dismiss; minimum mandatory guidelines; substance abuse history; chance for rehabilitation etc.... Ok, well thats more than 5. I dont know the nuances of this case.
