Well that was fun. I learned yesterday what a cattle crossing is.... going about 20 mph on a flat.... no warning signs which is OK but thought i was headed to a train track which i usually go diagonally over..... bad idea i came face to face w said cattle crossing..... bam... no, wait...... BAM! Thought for sure i broke the jaw and/or cheek bone. Lucky my nose didnt hit the thing, and lucky the bike helmet worked!!!! Anyway then I texted Kristy, and she found my location thanks to Runtastic.... I called 911 and the guy just kept telling me I had to tell him where i was and im like.... look i dont know where I am -- but im talking w my mouth closed cause im bleeding in my mouth and cant open my mouth cause im sure that my jaw is broken...... finally they get me to the sheriff dept and luckily an old pal who is a trooper is there and he hears me describe where i am.... and knows it exactly..... (Oh did I mention a car passed by.... I told the 911 guy.... I hear a car but no sirens.... maybe they can tell you exactly where this is..... and the car just goes by......... zoom. Im out in the middle of the road w my bike next to me at this thing and theres no way they dont see me.....) oh well........ any way its off to the ER after being put on the spine board for stitches x rays etc........ luckily the combination of a blow to the jaw and bleeding in the mouth wasnt a broken jaw in this case.... the cheek laceration went all the way thru to the inside and thats where the blood is coming from...... and the fentanyl worked without causing euphoria.... just not for long...... anyway then I got a migraine and had to get some demerol..... ugh thats not euphoria thats like.... having the wind taken out of you..... pics up later.... I look like Michael Corleone after McCluskey hit him....... and Zack put Bactroban on my lacerations this morning and when I asked him how I look he said YOu look...... awful...
