Well thats been a bit of a day really - driving down the A1 this morning and at 7.45am came a grinding halt about 300yds behind a massive accident - sat there until they turned us round and took us back out at about 1.45pm - been a wasted day for me but I lost a few hours but it will be a distant memory very soon, someone isnt going home to her family tonight and their lives will change for ever - five minutes earlier and I would have been long gone and heard about it on the radio, one minute earlier I could have been in the middle of it all - sobering thought really - I get to try again tomorrow perhaps a few miles an hour slower, a few yards more behind the car in front ........................ a reminder of just how vulnerable we are
