Well the Nebo Cutting show is over for another year. We had a huge show with 277 runs plus preworks. Congratulations to Ashley Wormwell, Shona Wheeler and Darlea Grouserey on winning the Lazy B Charolias Snafflebit Futurity. This combination also won the One Handed Beginner Horse event. Congratulations also to Jamie Peters for winning the the first Central Queensland Rookies Series buckle. He set out to chase the buckle, and the long miles and great performances in the pen paid off for him. Katherine Lyons won the HiPoint Lady Rider buckle, and Clive Perry won the service to Stylish Apache donated by Mark Kahler as Highest Scoring Local Rider in the snafflebit. Cathy & Beau Dawson got themselves a service to Stylish N Casual in the fundraiser, thanks to Sharon & Ian Bush. Thanks to all the sponsors who offered prizemoney and prizes to give us such a healthy prizepool. The cattle donors are the backbone of our show. Its been said a million times: no cattle, no show. Thanks Clein Family, Ian Mitchelmore, Robyn Blackburn and Tony Bell. Thanks to everyone who made the trip to support our show - we always work hard to put on the best show we can for YOU, the competitors. Personally, Id like to thank everyone who helps make our show run so smoothly. Niomi Sutherland tirelessly helped me in the office ALL weekend, Wazza Matotek held everything together seamlessly up in the announcers box, Scott Curtis provided the livestream, committee members Scott & Lisa Bates, Greg Barr, Debbie Brown, James Whitehead, Sharon Atkinson, Wade Clein, George Lyon, Bill & Trish Curran, Dave Muir and everyone else who helped out in any way. My biggest thanks goes to my wonderful husband Mick Lucas for running the bareback obstacle course, looking after our horses all weekend, and having them ready so I have the chance to show as well. If he wasnt there, I wouldnt be able to show, so THANKS! And a warning to all the bareback obstacle course competitors - not sure how well top that next year, but we will.
