Well the cancer is back and its PISSED this time! Could not figure out why I am getting so sick on these rounds of chemo - barfing, cant eat, sweaty, feverish sleep - well, it turns out its not the treatment, its the cause. I saw my doctor on Monday and my tumor markers have SKYROCKETED again. We re-ran some tests to figure out whats going on. Seems the regiment Im on isnt combating the cancer so we are adding the oxilaplatin (the one that gave me terrible neuropathy) back in the mix and hoping that will make this crap settle down. My liver and kidney functions are doing well, which is good, but it seems that the tumors are growing back in my liver as we had my billirubin down to 3.3 and now its back up to 5.4. I cant get white!! We also discussed a clinical trial, so that may be another option. We are pretty much back to where we were last January when we were faced with these same scary statistics. I realize I just got the new wig and everything but it sure would be nice to have a Christmas where I could have my own hair! :) I dont really give a crap about that stuff right now though and its just my way of trying to lighten the gravity of the situation. As I told my friend Amber, cant they just find a friggin cure for this crap?
