Well the hits just keep on coming. Just got an e-mail from CPAC dated 3:30 pm yesterday stating that my final job offer is on hold until further notice pending the verification of my OTEX. Strange, considering how on Monday I took my Oath of Federal Employment, signed my contract, received my welcome packet, and obtained my new SOFA card today. How does that work when CPAC notifies you of your selection for the position, gives you a tentative offer, then a final offer, and finally an in-processing date, only to drop this bomb after the fact? Sounds like someone put the cart before the horse and missed the class on personnel care/professional ethics (apologize for the rant, just venting some frustration with this blatant display of incompetence) Bottom line CPAC shouldnt have made contact to even offer this position, let alone hire me for it if the extension wasnt approved (which can only be approved at IMCOM CG Level). Not looking good for the home team and we have to wait out until further notice. Unbelievable!!! Please keep us in your Prayers as we work through this turmoil.
