Well, the open mic at Fiddlers Crossing in Tehachapi was a lot of fun. It is a lot smaller deal than the one we do here in Ridgecrest, twenty or thirty in the audience at most. A much smaller room, but a great sound system and very friendly folks that made some great noises and made me feel very welcome. And the five dollar cover also includes free fresh coffee and tea and snacks like fruit and muffins and PIE! (any time is a good time for pie) They even invited me to join in a country/bluegrass/blues jam at the end of the night! It was a hoot and I will be going back.
