Well, the plan is to get the dining room pretty darn done today. Jessy is going to edge the top of the walls again nice and probably paint the big walls once more with a bit of touch up if needed. It really did lay down pretty nicely. I thought everything would need two coats but its only really the two big open walls. Maggie and I are going to finish demoing the opening. We just have the plaster and lath on the living room side to remove, which should be a ton easier since the other side is exposed and we know what we are working with and around. Once that is done and all cleaned out, then we are going to cut out the couple studs, build a new header for the doorway and it will be as done as we can make it today. Once were done, we will see if we need to lay in some thin wider boards in the opening to finish it all nicely. Sort of depends on how the header looks. A wait and see decision. But at least it will be all open and we can clean up the floor nice and move everything into place! Maybe even get the trim pieces sized to see if they will fit nice or not. I think Id like to paint them first since they are just raw wood. Easier then when installed. Yes, we are party animals, here... haha... It would just be lovely to start the new year with one room nearly finished! Wouldnt it???
